Overview
The Union Public Service Commission has issued Special Advertisement No. 51/2026 to invite online recruitment applications for permanent posts of Principal and Vice Principal in the Education Department, Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Candidates applying for Principal must hold a Master's degree and a Bachelor of Education degree along with required teaching experience in recognized secondary or senior secondary institutions. Candidates applying for Vice Principal require a Master's degree, a Bachelor of Education degree, and prior teaching experience as a Post Graduate Teacher or Trained Graduate Teacher. Age relaxations and concessions are granted to reserved categories including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. The selection process comprises a Pen and Paper-based Combined Recruitment Test followed by an interview, with final merit determined by a weighted score combining test performance and interview evaluation.
