Overview
The Bihar Police Sub-Ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has issued an official recruitment advertisement for the post of Forest Range Officer (Vano Ke Kshetra Padadhikari) under the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Bihar. This direct recruitment drive aims to fill 16 vacant positions and is open to eligible male, female, and third-gender Indian citizens. Step 3: Complete Part-1 Registration by entering personal details, mobile number, email ID, domicile, category, and date of birth.

Step 4: Pay the prescribed application fee online using Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.

Step 5: Log in using the Registration ID and Password sent via SMS and Email to complete Part-2 of the application.

Step 6: Fill in parents' names, address details, and educational qualification details.

Step 7: Upload scanned photograph (15-25 KB, white background) and signatures in English and Hindi (15-25 KB, white background).

Age relaxation
Unreserved (UR)
Standard age limit without any category-based relaxation.
General
Maximum age for General Male is 37 years; for General Female is 40 years as on 01-08-2025.
Obc
Maximum age for OBC/EBC Male, Female, and Transgender candidates is 40 years as on 01-08-2025.
Sc
Maximum age for SC Male and Female candidates is 42 years as on 01-08-2025.
St
Maximum age for ST Male and Female candidates is 42 years as on 01-08-2025.
Government Employee
5 years age relaxation for Bihar state government servants who have completed at least 3 years of continuous regular service.
Ex Servicemen
3 years relaxation plus service period rendered in defense forces, subject to actual age not exceeding 57 years.
