How to apply

    Step 1: Visit the official website at https://bpssc.bihar.gov.in and click on the 'Bihar Police' tab.

    Step 3: Complete Part 1 registration by providing name, nationality, mobile number, email ID, Bihar domicile status, reservation category, gender, and date of birth.

    Step 4: Pay the application fee of Rs. 100 online using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.

    Step 5: Note down the Registration ID and Password received via SMS and email.

    Step 6: Log in using the Registration ID and Password to complete Part 2 of the application form.

    Step 7: Fill in personal details, father/husband name, mother name, address, and educational qualifications.

    Step 8: Upload recent passport-size photograph with white background (15-25 KB, .jpg/.jpeg/.gif format).

    Step 9: Upload scanned signatures in Hindi and English separately in black or blue ink with white background (15-25 KB).

    Step 10: Preview and review all details, then click 'Submit' to complete the application process.

    Step 11: Print the A4 size Acknowledgement page for future reference.

    Step 12: Candidates with rejected or unclear photos/signatures must log in during the correction window (23-04-2026 to 29-04-2026) to re-upload clear photos and signatures in Hindi and English.

Science with Physics

Passed B.Sc. with Physics as a subject with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) as on 01-08-2025.

Age relaxation

Unreserved (UR)

Standard age limit without any category-based relaxation.

21–37 years

General

Age limit calculated as on 01-08-2025 based on Matriculation/equivalent certificate. Maximum age for General females is 40 years.

21–77 years

Obc

Applicable for BC and EBC male and female candidates as on 01-08-2025.

21–37 years

Sc

Applicable for SC male and female candidates as on 01-08-2025.

21–37 years

St

Applicable for ST male and female candidates as on 01-08-2025.

Government Employee

5 years relaxation in upper age limit for Bihar state govt employees with minimum 3 years regular service.

21–42 years

Ex Servicemen

3 years relaxation plus service period rendered in defence forces, subject to actual age not exceeding 57 years.
